Half-day tour to CNP Cosmetics HQ in Korea

Check out things that the lucky winner - Nur-Izzaty Tiffany Rizalynnaz did on her half-day tour in CNP HQ in Korea!

Earlier this year, I won a contest organised by CNP Laboratory & Watsons Malaysia. CNP Laboratory is a skin care brand that was recently introduced to the Malaysian market, so it was no surprise that the grand prize of the contest was a 5D4N trip for 2 to CNP Laboratory’s country of origin: South Korea!

We took the Air Asia X Flight to Incheon, and got on the Airport Bus to Gangnam where the accommodation was located. Thanks to the “wifi egg” that we rented from Incheon International Airport, we were able to access Google Maps and navigate our way around despite our minimal knowledge of the Korean language.

Having been to South Korea on a tour before a couple of years ago, the trip was mostly free and easy consisting of gastronomical and off the beaten path adventures like having seafood at the Noryangjin Fish Market, walking up Namsan Park to view the city skyline as the sun goes down, as well as admiring the architectural beauty that is the Dongdaemun Design Plaza designed by the late Zaha Hadid. Of course, a shopping trip to Myeongdong and Dongdaemun is something not to be missed!

A day was also dedicated to travelling to Everland Theme Park. I was delighted to find out that the year 2016 is Everland Theme Park’s 40th anniversary! I relived my childhood by queueing up for rides and traipsing around looking at the cute, furry animals. The pandas Le Bao and Ai Bao were definitely the highlight of my trip to Everland!

CNP Laboratory was also incredibly kind to extend their invite to visit their HQ in Gangnam for a half-day tour. A CNP representative picked us up from the hotel and we made our way through the morning traffic to the HQ.

The first thing on the agenda was a facial analysis by the R&D team. Based on the results of the facial analysis, they created a custom-made CNP Laboratory Propolis Energy Ampule with ingredients most suitable for my face.

Nevertheless, I did not expect that I would be the one creating the product (with guidance from the R&D team, of course), and in a lab coat no less! In that moment, I became the scientist I never got to be, so I was thankful that I paid some attention in chemistry class in my student days!

While I didn’t get to bring home the lab coat, I did, however, get to take home the custom-made Propolis Energy Ampule and the results of the facial analysis. To top the session off, the lovely CNP representative accompanied us all the way to our next destination to ensure that we enjoy the rest of our stay in Korea.

Kamsahamnida CNP Laboratory for organising and providing this rare opportunity to customise my own product and also for this wonderful trip!
